About
Capital Region Medical Foundation is a nonprofit organization that exists to support the life-saving work of MU Health Care's
Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City, Missouri.

The Foundation was created in 1989 as Memorial Hospital Foundation.
When Memorial and Still Hospitals merged in 1994 to create Capital Region Medical Center, the name of the Foundation was changed to Capital Region Medical Foundation.

The Foundation is a separate 501(c)(3) corporation from the Medical Center, and all gifts to the Foundation are tax deductible in accordance with IRS charitable contributions guidelines.
The Foundation is directed by Capital Region Medical Foundation Executive Director Anne Green. The Foundation is overseen by 31 individuals who comprise the Board of Trustees. The Board of Trustees are elected annually by the Board of Governors.

The Board of Governors is comprised of over 500 community leaders and individuals who are dedicated to MU Health Care's Capital Region Medical Center. Members are elected officials, bankers, lawyers, judges, teachers, clergy, community leaders, hospital staff and more. These individuals typically live in the hospital's eight county service area.. They are elected by the Foundation's Nominating Committee and approved at the annual business meeting.​

In 2023, Capital Region Medical Center was integrated into MU Health Care after a multi-decade affiliation. Today, the facility is MU Health Care's Capital Region Medical Center. The Foundation's name remains the same as does our commitment to helping mid-Missourians attain quality health care.

Our mission is to support MU Health Care's Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City as they strive to provide quality medical care in our community and service area. We rely on the generosity of our donors, who give both their time and money, to help us fulfill this mission. With your support, we can make a difference in the lives of those we serve.
Board of Trustees
The Foundation's leadership team is comprised of the Board of Trustees and the organization's Executive Director. Together, they work closely with the leadership team at MU Health Care's Capital Region Medical Center to identify service needs and determine the best path forward.
