Capital Region Medical Foundation Donors

Every gift to the Capital Region Medical Foundation represents a commitment to better healthcare for Mid-Missouri. Through the generosity of our donors, we are able to support patient care, fund medical equipment and technology, provide scholarships for future healthcare professionals, assist cancer patients and their families, and invest in projects that improve healthcare close to home. This page celebrates the individuals, families, businesses, and organizations whose generosity makes this work possible while highlighting the lasting impact their support has on our community.

  • $300,000 committed toward the Special Care Nursery

  • 27 healthcare scholarships awarded to local traditional and non-traditional students

  • Over $20,000 awarded in scholarships

  • Nearly $12,000 raised through Eagles community fundraisers

  • Over $25,000 raised from over 100 employees at CRMC to fund local programs

  • Thousands of Boost and Ensure supplements and wigs distributed to cancer patients in mid-Missouri 

  • Several local healthcare projects supported, including new pieces of equipment for Goldschmidt Cancer Center and the Jack Sanders Cardiac Center​​

Tom and Sharon Naught

A Legacy of Hope for Cancer Patients

 

For more than three decades, Tom and Sharon Naught demonstrated the power of compassion in action. Through their vision and generosity, they helped establish the Boost Program, which provides free nutritional supplements, wigs, turbans, and head scarves to cancer patients throughout Mid-Missouri.

Tom and Sharon Naught understood that cancer affects more than a person's health—it impacts every aspect of life. Their commitment to helping patients maintain strength, dignity, and confidence during treatment has touched countless lives and continues to make a difference today.

The Capital Region Medical Foundation and Goldschmidt Cancer Center are deeply grateful for their extraordinary dedication to cancer patients and their families. Their legacy lives on through every individual served by the program they helped create.

Peter and Dana Goldschmit

Transforming Cancer Care Close to Home

 

Peter and Dana Goldschmidt have made an extraordinary and lasting impact on healthcare throughout Mid-Missouri through their generosity, leadership, and commitment to ensuring that patients have access to exceptional cancer care close to home.

Their transformational support helped establish what is now known as the Goldschmidt Cancer Center, creating opportunities for local patients and families to receive advanced treatment, compassionate care, and critical support services within their own community. Dr. Jack and Jimmy Kaye Sanders

A Legacy of Caring, Learning, and Service

Dr. Jack and Jimmy Kaye Sanders dedicated their lives to improving the health and well-being of others through service, compassion, and a deep commitment to their community.

​

Throughout his distinguished medical career, Dr. Sanders cared for countless patients and helped shape healthcare in Mid-Missouri. Alongside Jimmy Kaye, he believed in the importance of education, mentorship, and creating opportunities for future generations. Together, they understood that investing in students pursuing healthcare careers was an investment in the future health of our communities.

 

Their legacy continues through the Dr. Jack and Jimmy Kaye Sanders Memorial Scholarship Fund, established through a generous bequest and supported by the Capital Region Medical Foundation. The scholarship assists students pursuing careers in healthcare, helping them achieve their educational goals while carrying forward the values of service, excellence, and compassion that defined Dr. Sanders' life.

Walter and Nancy Rottmann

Supporting Students, Strengthening Communities

Walter and Nancy Rottmann believed deeply in the power of education, hard work, and giving back to the community they loved. Throughout their lives, they quietly demonstrated a commitment to helping others and creating opportunities for future generations.

Following Nancy's passing in 2010, Walter continued to honor their shared values through his dedication to community service and philanthropy. His leadership, generosity, and unwavering support of healthcare education helped establish the Walter and Nancy Rottmann Scholarship Fund, which assists students pursuing careers in healthcare and encourages them to use their talents in service to others.

Walter's passing in 2026 marked the loss of a respected community leader, but the legacy he and Nancy built together continues through the students whose lives are changed by their scholarship. Each recipient represents their belief that investing in education strengthens not only individual futures, but also the health and well-being of entire communities.
